What is Reiki?

Reiki is a form of energy healing. 

Reiki originated in Japan. The word Reiki is made up of two kanji (Japanese characters) – Rei and Ki. In Japanese, Rei means Universal, and Ki means Energy. Therefore, Reiki is often translated as “Universal Life Force Energy”.  

Benefits of Reiki - Reiki is a complementary therapy that complements other types of treatments.  Reiki relaxes the body and reduces stress.  

 

Studies show that Reiki can:

  • Create feelings of peace

  • Relaxation

  • Activate the parasympathetic nervous system

  • Alleviate Stress
